The
Centre has two automated dilatometers for polymerization
rate measurements. Conversion measurements are based on
the contraction of the polymerization solution which is
caused by the conversion of monomer into polymer. An electronic
eye automatically follows the meniscus of the solution inside
a capillary , after which the data are automatically processed.
